Here are some great, 30-minute workout ideas from our archives. From 1991 to 2003, Larry Gluckman served Concept2 as our HR person--and everyone’s personal coach. Larry had coached numerous Olympic and National Team crews in the years before he joined Concept2, and went back to coaching after he left us. His workout wisdom is evergreen, and well worth reposting 24 years later—with a few updates to reflect that fact that we now have the SkiErg and BikeErg in addition to our RowErg.

The SkiErg for Injury Recovery

I love movement and exercise, and if you're reading this then chances are you enjoy a healthy dose of movement as well. We rely on our bodies as vehicles for movement and they usually deliver, allowing us collectively to do some amazing things. Sometimes, however, bodies break down and we get injured. And when that happens it can be an incredibly frustrating thing, especially when it prevents us from moving in the way we are used to and from doing the things we love.

Editor's note: Terry Smythe was a long-time friend of Concept2 and champion of indoor rowing. Terry passed away on November 27, 2018, after a fierce battle with mucosal melanoma. We remember her with fondness and want to share her rowing tricks of the trade.
