Concept2 and World Rowing - Pulling Together for the Future of Rowing

The World Rowing Indoor Championships (WRICH) remain the highlight of the indoor rowing calendar. In February 2026, a virtual championship featuring the 1000m, 5000m, and 1-minute races will take place. Following this, an in-person championship should happen later in the year with the traditional 2000m and 500m events.

World Rowing is committed to helping shape the future of the proposed Olympic Esports Games by working with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to ensure rowing plays a meaningful role in this new era of sport. 

Innovation continues with the upcoming Super60 Singapore, which features the latest edition of the Versa Challenge. While the World Rowing Virtual Series gives athletes across the globe a chance to stay motivated, track progress, and join a global community of rowers.
