Ranking pieces must be rowed on any model of a Concept2 Indoor Rower equipped with a PM1, PM2, PM2+, PM3 or PM4 performance monitor.
The rower should be on a level ground surface during the piece.
No rowers with modifications not initiated by Concept2 Inc. may be used for the Ranking pieces.
There is no required damper setting for time trials on the Concept2 Indoor Rower. You are free to choose the setting you prefer so long as you do not change it once you have started to row.
The piece may be rowed with or without Slides. The exception: all 2000 meter record-breaking times must be rowed on Concept2 Indoor Rowers without Slides.
The distance pieces should be set up as a preset workout so the meters count down while rowing. To learn how to preset a workout on your monitor, please see the Monitor Support Pages. Having done this, once the piece is completed, the tenths of a second will appear with the finish time.

Your Best Ranking Results
To see where your best results place you in the ranking, you need to be logged in.
Once you are logged in, go to your logbook page and click on the link for World Ranking Entries

RACE appears for results that have been imported directly from a Concept2 race into your logbook. If you feel that a RACE result appears in error - please contact rowing@concept2.com.
IND appears for any result that was ranked by an individual rower him or herself from their own logbook.
RACE is entered as a RowPro result from a race results disk. These entries contain an embedded Rowfile that other RowPro users can download and row against stroke by stroke. For more information see www.digitalrowing.com.
Marathon Row
42,195m is the official Concept2 marathon distance. After submitting your results online, please email Jennifer at jenniferw@concept2.com with your complete mailing address in order to receive your official Concept2 Marathon Mug (limit one (1) per calendar year).

This was originally our kids category but so many rowers of all ages wanted to try it that it's now open for everyone
World Record Times
All 2000 meter record-breaking times must be rowed at a Concept2 sanctioned indoor rowing event with witnesses present. In addition all 2000 meter record-breaking times must be rowed on Concept2 Indoor Rowers without Slides.
All other record-breaking pieces must meet at least one (1) of the following requirements:
rowed in public with witnesses present who can be reached if we want confirmation of the performance - “public” defined as health club, fitness center, rowing club, indoor rowing race, trade show or regatta where Concept2 is present, school, university or special event in a public setting (ie, fundraiser in a mall, etc)
rowed with a PM3 with a verification code
rowed using RowPro (file can be downloaded to our site directly for verification)
