Fishing for a High Score

Some of you may remember the story we wrote in the Fall 2009 issue of the Update about our CFO (“Chief Fishing Officer”), Jon Williams. Well, he’s still the in-house Fish Game Champion…but he doesn’t come close to the fishing exploits of customer Ken Petterson.

Ken and Jon communicate regularly about their fishing, and most recently Ken sent us a really impressive collection of his fishing stats, accumulated from over 9000 games! We thought you would enjoy seeing them—and perhaps this will inspire you to try the Fish Game if you haven’t already. Employee Profile: Jennifer Wilson

Jennifer Wilson joined Concept2’s Customer Service Team in 2003 after learning about the job from long-time friend and one of the first Concept2 employees, Bob Beeman. She grew up in neighboring Hyde Park, but now boasts the “Lives Closest to Work” title, living only 3/10 of a mile from our offices in Morrisville, Vermont. “Sure makes walking or biking to work easy!” she says. Using the Online Ranking as a Training Tool

For those who haven’t discovered it yet, the Concept2 Online Ranking is a very large and constantly growing database of best times for twelve different distance/time pieces on the indoor rower or SkiErg. Results have been submitted by rowers and skiers from around the world. Its thousands of entries can be readily sorted by event, age group, gender, weight class, country, state, adaptive category and more. SkiErg Training with US Cross Country Ski Team Member Liz Stephen

On Saturday, November 6, members of First in Fitness health club in Montpelier, Vermont, were treated to a ski clinic of Olympic proportions. US Cross Country Ski Team member Liz Stephen, who skied in the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics in the 10K and 15K Pursuit, is a Montpelier native. She stopped in to give members of First in Fitness training tips on Nordic ski technique and information on how to use the club’s two new Concept2 SkiErgs effectively.
