World Rowing Indoor Championships

The World Rowing Indoor Championships (WRICH) has official world championship status. The race changes venue each year, showcasing a truly international sport and bringing the best athletes from all corners of the globe.

The 2023 World Rowing Indoor Championships, presented by Concept2, will take place on February 25–26 2023 in Mississauga, Toronto, Canada. This year will be the first hybrid championship, with competitors able to join the action both in person, and virtually in real time, from anywhere in the world.

The two-day event will have individual 2000m and 500m races, team 2000m relay races, and para categories. No pre-qualification is needed for those who wish to race at the in-person event in Toronto, but registration must be completed by February 8, 2023. If you wish to compete virtually in real-time, you must qualify in advance at one of several international races before February 1, 2023.

New this year is the inaugural Versa challenge—a unique and challenging competition taking place at the Toronto location. The Versa will test all the skills required of indoor rowing athletes with new and unfamiliar race formats.
