Windows & e-Row

What versions of Windows does e-Row work on?

e-Row works on Windows 95, 98, Me, NT, 2000. For information on Windows XP, see the Win XP page. If you are running a Venue race, we recommend upgrading to e-Row Ver 4.1 Build 115. Please refer to the e-Row downloads page for more information. If you plan to use more than a few ergs connected at the same time, best performance can be obtained with Build 115 and Windows 95, 98, or Me. If using NT, 2000, or XP, you should absolutely use Build 115.

Can I use a non-Windows computer to use e-Row?

At this time e-Row for Windows on a PC is the only software that Concept2 currently publishes. Please refer to the PM2+ User Interface Specifications page for more information.

I upgraded Windows and now e-Row doesn't work. What do I do?

e-Row 4.0 installs a different driver for various versions of Windows. e-Row 4.1 and above does not have this problem, but reinstalling e-Row may help. Reinstall e-Row from CD or from our e-Row downloads page.

I get the message "e-Row could not determine the location of your web browser… you will not be able to use the online help in e-Row.

You are logged in as a Windows XP Pro or Windows 2000 "User" account or a Windows XP Home "Limited" account. Fix this in e-Row by going into Options | Preferences | click [Browse] and find your browser. This usually can be found in C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE.

I'm installing e-Row on Windows 95 and e-Row complains that it needs Direct-X. Where can I get Direct-X?

Please access the Microsoft Download Center.

Workouts & Races

How do I set up a marathon?

In the New Workout or Modify Workout setup screen, enter the duration of 42,195 meters and use the mouse to move to another field or to another button such as OK. Using the Tab, Enter, or arrow keys to exit the Duration field will result in a message box indicating that the value is out of bounds and cannot be greater than 32,767. This validation bug is left over from an older version of e-Row whose data values were more limited.
