ErgChatter

ErgChatter is a free software tool that gives a voice to your PM3 or PM4. Perfect for rowers with visual impairment, ErgChatter announces your performance data at regular intervals as you row. When you’re in Just Row, or doing a single time workout, ErgChatter announces your data every 20 seconds. When doing a set distance workout, ErgChatter announces your data every 100 meters.

The most recent version (1.5) offers the following new features:

  • Windows Vista support
  • "Drag Mode" for setting the drag factor
  • Improved update interval detection for distance-based updates
  • Ability to select pre-programmed workouts from the computer keyboard
  • Support for interval workouts
  • 15-second timed workout update intervals
  • Support for heart-rate monitors
  • Ability to turn off extended start-up and shut-down chatter

Note: Install ErgChatter on your computer (not on your performance monitor). Once installed, connect your PM3/PM4 to your computer to hear your workout data announced.
