Indoor Race Season Recap

You are likely familiar with the schedule of indoor rowing competitions held from November through March around the world. This year there was exceptional participation at many of the North American regional events, with 52 rowers qualifying for trips to the World Indoor Rowing Championships, more affectionately referred to as the C.R.A.S.H.-B. Sprints. Despite a major snowstorm, which hampered travel plans for many entrants, this year’s Boston-based championships were just shy of 2000 competitors, including 200 international athletes representing 20 different countries. Seven new world records were set, including winning efforts by four Germans, two Americans and a stellar performance by Dane, Henrik Stephansen.
