Rowing and Skiing for the Visually Impaired
The Concept2 Indoor Rower and the Concept2 SkiErg are both terrific training options for visually impaired athletes. They offer safe and exhilarating fitness activities, and they provide a great way to train for rowing, skiing and other sports. Thanks to indoor racing, they also provide an opportunity for competition.
In June 2008, we introduced ErgChatter, free PC software that gives a voice to your Performance Monitor (PM). As you row, ErgChatter announces your performance data at regular intervals. Visit concept2.com/ergchatter for full details and to download the software.
At the 2011 C.R.A.S.H.-B. Sprints, we previewed ErgBuddy, a new application we developed for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. ErgBuddy offers many of the same features as ErgChatter plus additional capabilities like setting up workouts and more control over what is voiced. Learn more
