The challenge: Get as many members as you can to participate and meet their own personal goal of rowing either 100,000 meters or 200,000 meters starting September 15 and ending October 15.

Eligibility:
Teams must be an established "club," under one of these divisions:

  • a corporate fitness center
  • YMCA
  • health club
  • rowing club
  • school rowing team/club
  • rehab center or hospital program
  • correctional facility
  • military
Virtual, long-distance, purely electronic groupings of rowers and people and/or individuals not affiliated with a club will not be allowed. There are other online events for these rowers. All meters must be rowed on a Concept2 Indoor Rower. Water meters are not counted for this challenge.

Using the Online Team Ranking:
The C2 Online Team Ranking system will again be used to track the Fall Rowing Challenge results. All results must be entered online using the Concept2 Team Ranking to qualify for this challenge. Because of the large number of participants in the challenge, we cannot accept results via phone, fax or email. We suggest that any members that have access to the Internet create their own profile so that they can enter their own results.

Club Support:
Once you have registered a team for the Fall Rowing Challenge, you are eligible to request a free Concept2 “Motivate” banner. Also available through the C2 Free Library are Technique DVDs, Technique Posters and Training Guides.

Dates & Deadlines:

  • Club leaders should establish an Online Profile and register their team online now. We encourage you do this sooner rather than later in case you have any questions. Once you do this, you will automatically receive e-mail bulletins about the event.
  • Meters must be rowed between 12:01 AM, Saturday, September 15 and midnight Monday, October 15, 2007.
  • Enter meters rowed regularly between Sept. 15 - Oct. 15. We do not require that you enter your results by a specific time each week, however, it would be helpful to us if you did enter results on a regular basis so that we can have a better idea on the quantity of prizes that we will need.
  • Final results rowed by October 15th must be entered no later than Saturday, October 20 at midnight.
