Fonthill ON CAN It's amazing how fast 1M meters goes by when you row a few every day. I find rowing a minimum of 5K every day helps me feel better and maintain good health. Thank you Concept2 for all your support with challenges, it provides that extra incentive to put in a few extra meters every day. I often manage an additional 10K - 15K per day during the challenges.

Norwich   GBR At only 5' 3" and 68Kg I'm finding it pretty tough to move up these rankings, but I'll keep trying :-). First million metres acheived March 07 (took me about 13 months). The second a bit quicker. I want 3.

Terrebonne Quebec CAN I never thought 10 years ago I'd still be at it but here I am...finally the year I should reach the 10 million meter mark...My best time so far this season is 38.39.3 I row three times a week distances of 10000 meters and every second day I do a one hour weight training session in my home gym . I also play hockey a couple of times a week in the winter and I inline skate in the summer.

Alphen aan den Rijn   NLD A few years ago my brother was unable to use his erg because of an injury. I tried his machine for a couple of months and I loved it straightaway. When he wanted it back I bought one immediately. It was money well spent. My erg keeps me fit and in shape and keeps my muscles strong.

Best   NLD Hello, I am Patrick Landstra living in The Netherlands and being a fanatic indoor rower since I purchased a Concept 2 somewhere in the mid 1990's. I have always been somebody who likes sports (especially endurance). Had to stop running (also marathons) due to knee injuries. Also like roller skiing and X-cross skiing and played badminton at National level for many years. Apart from sports I am freelance photographer in my free time and in daily life technical trainer/coach for Philips Healthcare.

Toronto ON  CAN Over the years I have migrated from team sports to tennis and golf, and I am now using rowing as a non-impact source for fitness as well as for some strength training for those sports in particular. By supplementing my training with weights and stretching, I am hoping to reduce past issues with muscle strains and joint pains. My introduction to rowing was on 30/09/09.

Milwaukee WI USA Rowed in college at the University of Puget Sound Varsity Team for two years. Then after a 10 year hiatus I bought an erg for myself. I used it infrequently that first year and then it collect dust for another few years. Since 2004 I've done the holiday challenge in part to combat S.A.D. and in part because the Midwest can be dreadful outside in those months. 2008 didn't row. 10/24/2009 I've officially reached my 1 Million Meters (probably 2-3Mil if you count college and water time). Now working on weightloss with the UK Weighloss Schedule - Let you know how it goes.

Mon régime d'entraînement annuel est composé de 5000 km de vélo en été (trop court au Québec) et 1 million de mètres au rameur l'hiver. Le parfait équilibre!!!
