In July 2009 I bought a model D with PM3. In 2000/2001 I logged a lot of metres on a hired C2 and now I'm older, heavier and need to lose weight and get fit I decided the rower was the best choice. The RowPro software was an unexpected bonus! So here I am and already bitten by the rowing bug - might even make it onto the water one day........

Began erging in March 06 mainly to keep fit and a sport to do in my own time, took it more seriously when i discovered this site by then the bug had taken hold. I am 5' 8" tall and 13.5 stone so too short and light to be a great heavyweght and i also have a degenerative bone disease called Avascular Necrosis and Osteoarthritis in both hips so my mobility is going bit by bit, consequently dont have a great drive and rely more on the upper body and an additional liver condition means i can can get tired quite easily, but i remain ambitious my time for 2000m at the end of April 06 was 7:26 in July 07 i was 7:30, lost my way the rest of 2008 after my medical diagnosis and adjusting to losing the ability to do some things, but back in the saddle now rowing adaptive class LTA and signed up for the challenge 7 series.2010 season quite well for me so far. Also enjoy powerlifting and swimming..preferably open water. |
