Greetings from Australia. I'm an expatriate Taff born 1949 in Aberystwyth and ended up in Aussieland late '65. Used to row a bit in the 70's for Toowong Rowing Club Qld, then Banks Rowing club in Melbourne. 'Rediscovered' rowing via the C2 at a local gym and am thoroughly enjoying it, albeit on dry land. I took up erging in April 2006 because of pressure from Mr T saying that Taff Attack needed some girls in the team.
I entered my first event in Evesham July 2006 and managed bronze with 11 Taff attack boys egging me on- it has to rank as my most terrified moment ever!!!, At Evesham this year got silver in the mile.
Came 6th in the BIRC just ahead of Carole Mac who then died of cancer a few months later (she has been a great inspiration to me since).
I am the girl behind the chocolate cake in the team!
I have recently taken up on the Water rowing which is now threatening to take up all of my time.

I have a C2 Model C and Dyno at pride of place in my living room and am getting back into using them after a lay-off. I also do a variety of road cycling, ranging from TTs to 1200km Audax rides.
