I started rowing indoors back in January 2007 to loose weight and get in shape for crew season with Prince William Rowing Club. I have now completed two fun seasons with the club. During the off season, I'm usually pulling on the erg at the Gold's Gym in Woodbridge. However, I'm equally likely to be in Fairfax playing ice hockey with my other team, the Senators.

I watched my daughter's introduction to Crew in 2000 during her freshman year. I was very impressed with the teamwork and positive attitude of the high school student-athletes. When I tried the erg my daughter brought home that summer, I only managed 500m before I fell over, exhausted...but I was hooked! Later, I became quite active in the Crew Booster's Club and eventually even (masqueraded) as the Boosters' Club president for a year! Due to a recent, significant "life-change", I started working out regularly on the Concept 2 and even decided to give my local community rowing club a try. Both proved to be very positive experiences. The community of rowers that I have met through the Prince William Rowing Club are enthusiastically enjoying life and proving to be a great deal of fun to be with! I am now the proud owner of my own Concept 2 and have successfully completed my first season "on the water" and can't wait for more.
