I've been rowing on a erg since 1988. I have participated in regattas in the past, but there aren't many near my home in KC. Still row on a model B, refurbished, and it still feels like a new erg - just great!

The picture is from 12/27/06 as I have just crossed the 1,000,000 meter mark! I started rowing, indoors only so far, in May 2006. Would love to get on the water somehow, at least once. Row Purdue!

On Feb 22nd 2006 had surgery on my elbow due to tendonitus. Started physical therapy March 17th. April 3rd obtained full motion of my right arm. Arm is very sore from from the stretching and strengthening exercises. Rowing is still no where in site. Hopefully only two or three more week. Thanks Prairieland Strokers for the e-mails.
May 19th recieved go ahead to start rowing from Physical Therapist. Arm is still not normal. Its going to be a slow go. On travel for a week so won't get started till 29th of May.

Late blooming gym rat that has been off the wagon for 6 months with distractions and tendonitis. Trying to work toward Second Million, and getting the extra pounds back off First Million 6/12/2007!! Started in February 2006. When I row I feel better .
Row ON!!!

I have had a C2 since 1985. Started with the Model A. I have had a Model D. Since Nov. 2004. I cannot say I have rowed everyday. But nothing makes me feel as good or keeps me in shape better than my erg. Regards

"Real athletes row. Everyone else just plays games."
Been mixing it up this summer with bicycling and swimming.
But gas prices and the summer heat has been driving me back to the basement and the rower.
Neglected the logs for part of April and May and now have a page missing...guess I'll just have to do a little more to get the averages back up.
Finally, got out on the water and loved it...might have to think about a real rig to row!

Live to Row, Row to Live.
My motto to live by since I have survived two open heart surgeries to correct birth defects and two ablations to solve an arrhythmia. I also just had a pacemaker implanted and I plan to continue rowing. Member of 3 million meter club.

Tried a Concept in college and LOVED it. With some health problems and continued (miraculous)recovery from severe Traumatic Brain Injury sustained in a car accident a few years ago, I am trying to do all I can to be healthy and fit. I have seen that life can be short...so...ROW HARD...NO EXCUSES :)

Began erging in Jan. 2004, winter months only. Diagnosed with tonsil cancer in spring, 2005. Ensuing treatment was tough, but effective. Am now cancer free for 3 1/2 years and back to winter rowing and summer running. Came out of coaching retirement recently. Will coach pole vaulters at local high school. Proud member of Prairieland Strokers.

Semper Fidelis!
**Completed my 1st Million meters in Aug. WAHOO!!!** Started indoor rowing at a gym in 2001. Purchased a Model D in Dec'05. I'm a big fan of Target Heart Rate Zone Training. This season's goals are to 1. Maintain discipline of the "5 o'clock" club of early morning quiet time followed by a good row. 2. Join the million meter club. (ACCOMPLISHED 8/3/2007!!) 3. Row a HM.

I started rowing Feb 2007. Learned on the "net" that rowing is one of the best ways to burn fat. Having lost over 100 pounds during 2006, I was looking for a great way to continue with my success. I love this rowing. Playing my 80's music on the MP3 player and rowing--I'm in heaven!!
