Summertime. Means not so much erging. Kind of conflicted about that.

I can only blame my kids ... they rowed for years in high school and college but the Concept II stayed home as they moved on/out ... so now I get to row (along with cycling and flat water kayaking) - Stanford '70 (Go Braves!)

Stanford '85. I was a swimmer in High School, but 20 years behind a desk have made me pretty squishy. Rowing is similar to swimming and I can do it year round!

After a 35 year hiatus I have taken up rowing again, this time as a sculler. During the 35 year gap I kept in shape (more or less) by running and biking but decided that running was too hard on the knees and that biking was too dangerous. So now I am out on the water again. Feels great!
