Started erging Oct 04 for general fitness and (inevitably) got hooked - not only for fitness but the "headtime" I get at the gym; it's as much about mental health as physical!cxw@yandex.ru

I work for IBM in the UK.
I've been rowing on the erg since May 2004 (well I've been recording metres on here since then).
I'm also a cyclist, time trialing (10miles, 25miles, 50miles and this year maybe 100miles). I'm still trying to get under the hour for a 25 mile time trial
I was born in April 1963. I married Debbie in 1986. We have three kids, Bryony (born 1992), Frayne (born 1994) and Konrad (born 2000).
I got under seven minutes on 2nd Jan 2006. I'm trying to get back to SUB 7 minutes.

I have been rowing on and off since I stopped smoking 11 years ago and I STILL find it hard work. A year ago I have completed 1.000.000 with my fiance by rowing 5000m 4-5times a week or whenever we had time. This time I am trying to improve my 30 mins row which I started at the end of November 2006. With the planning of our wedding in July we won't have as much time but when we do row we'll give it our best
