A view of the CrossFit Games Marathon

The first week in August found several members of the Concept2 team at the 12th annual CrossFit Games in Madison, Wisconsin, providing event support, giving tips and technique coaching on our equipment, catching up with old friends, and making new ones. Concept2 has a long history with the CrossFit community, and this year was an especially exciting one as we saw Concept2 equipment in more events than ever, including the much-discussed, first-ever-for-CrossFit marathon row. What an experience. Continue Reading ›

Graduation is ahead, and in addition to the midterms and finals, you may be eager to put the stress of erg tests behind you. Some high school and college athletes continue rowing on the national team level, many bound for international competition. But what is there for the rest of us? We wish them well in racing and will continue to follow their results!

The Paralympic Winter Games kick off on March 9 in PyeongChang. We look forward to following more inspirational athletes. Continue Reading ›

This year is no exception. Here at Concept2, we’re especially excited for six young women who have trained at the nearby Craftsbury Outdoor Center, as part of the Craftsbury Green Racing Project. Four of them—Susan Dunklee, Ida Sargent, Emily Dreissigacker and Kaitlynn Miller—grew up in our neighborhood, skiing and running together often on our local trails. All six know the SkiErg well, and most have also done some rowing as good cross-training for skiing. Three are on the US Cross Country Ski Team and three are on the US Biathlon Team. Here’s a quick intro to “our” local Olympians. Continue Reading ›

Jan 19, 2018

You “fly” at an unbelievable pace only to “die” from it physically and emotionally. Continue Reading ›
