A total of 188 teams, composed of 3247 people, logged 308,256,325 meters on the indoor rower and SkiErg between September 15 and October 15. The average number of meters rowed per person was about 95,000 and there were 485 individuals who surpassed 200,000 meters!

Eric Murray: Dynamic 2k vs. Model E 2k

Mar 05, 2012

It is not easy to find athletes willing to do a maximum effort 2k on the Dynamic Indoor Rower then turn around and do it again on a Model D or E in the same season, but we are gathering as much information as people are willing to share on how times compare between the types of machines. Fortunately for us, Eric Murray of the New Zealand pair did just that with a 2k on the Dynamic Indoor Rower in January and then on a Model E last weekend at a New Zealand team test. Eric has been an early adopter of the Dynamic erg and has had about as much time on it as anyone. Continue Reading ›

Choosing Dynamic

Oct 20, 2011

Model D vs. Dynamic: 2k Tests with Peter Dreissigacker

Comparing scores between the Model D and the Dynamic erg is the subject of speculation. The flywheel and monitor components are identical on the Model D and Dynamic, but the athlete may row differently on each. The results experienced may be unexpected. Continue Reading ›

The Dynamic Erg Prototype at the European Championships

Oct 06, 2010
The dynamic erg prototype made appearances at two major regattas in September: the World Masters Regatta in Canada and the European Championships in Portugal. This exposure gave us access to the impressions of current elite athletes as well as veterans in the sport. We’ve also received valuable feedback from several national teams training in both hemispheres. While the overall feedback continues to be positive, user comments have helped us identify a few more changes that will further improve the performance of the new design. Continue Reading ›

An Update on the Dynamic Erg

Aug 18, 2010

We’re at the next step in the development of the Dynamic Erg: we’re assembling some pre-production prototypes! These machines are being constructed in the same way that we would build them in production—giving us a chance to decide whether any further refinements need to be made before production. In fact, we already have a few changes in mind such as handle hook design, part simplification, easier assembly, etc. Continue Reading ›
