The ice is only just starting to melt from the lakes and rivers of Vermont, but we have been busy getting ready for regatta season none-the-less.
This weekend marks the unofficial start of regatta season: The San Diego Crew Classic will be held April 6-7, and Concept2 CTS will be there providing our usual athlete support.
The San Diego Crew Classic is celebrating its 40th year, providing a beautiful venue for high school junior programs, collegiate teams, masters’ clubs, and even Olympic-level competition. This nationally-acclaimed regatta has grown considerably in 40 years and consists of close to 100 races with more than 4000 athletes. The California sun, protected waters and green lawns of Mission Bay Park offer a perfect setting to kick off the season. If you happen to be at the regatta this weekend, stop by the Concept2 CTS tent at Booth 11 and say hello.
Back on the east coast, and hot on the heels of the Crew Classic, are two premier regattas—the 75th Dad Vail Regatta on May 10-12 and Stotesbury Cup on May 17-18. Both are held in Philadelphia, PA, on the Schuylkill River, and attract thousands of racers and spectators. Concept2 CTS will be on hand at these events as well, to assist athletes with any oar service needs.
