About Ali Cox: in one word…determined.
In 2004, with a World Championship title and an Olympic silver medal under her belt, Cox left the rowing world to pursue a new set of dreams and endeavors. After cutting her teeth at IMG, the world's leading sports marketing, media, and entertainment firm, Cox applied the risk-taking drive and determination that had earned her an Olympic medal to launch her own marketing consultancy in 2008. Now, adding six years of varied life experiences and perspectives to her skill set, Cox has rededicated herself to the Olympic dream. With her eyes firmly set on making the London 2012 US Women's 8+, a familiar and challenging road lies ahead. One that will require a little humility and a whole lot of fun! Ali is looking forward to sharing the trials and tribulations involved in converting her body and mind back into elite form after years away from the sport. She hopes that her blog will inspire others to jump up and set new seemingly unattainable goals along with her!
