I began rowing over 20 years ago when I decided to get in shape in my late 30s. I joined a health club that had all kinds of weightlifting machinery, cycles, and whatnot. After trying all the machines, I found myself constantly returning to the rowing machines. Eventually I bought a model C and put more than 11 million meters on it. I recently retired and bought a model E as a retirement present. I workout five days a week and try to do at least 40,000 meters each week.
