World IRC Qualifying Times

Concept2 provides the airfare for up to four competitors from each of the 19 official satellite regattas of the World Indoor Rowing Championships based on published qualifying times. Qualifying times and adaptive qualifying times for the 2018 World Indoor Rowing Championships are listed below. In the event that a given regatta has more than four qualifiers, the satellite regatta organizers decide who is selected for the trip. Concept2 has no role in this decision process.

These qualifying times are not for entry into the World Indoor Rowing Championships; they are to establish eligibility for US and Canadian rowers to have Concept2 provide their airfare to the 2018 World Indoor Rowing Championships. The qualifying times are based on averages of prior years’ World Indoor Rowing Championships results.

Qualifying Times
Note: "O" is for "open" weight, "L" is for "lightweight". Open weight was referred to as "heavyweight" in the past.

International Competitors

You do not need to reach a particular qualifying time in order to race at the World Indoor Rowing Championships. The race is open to everyone provided they meet the age limit. The age limit for the 2018 World Indoor Rowing Championships will be announced at a later date.

There is a budget available to fund flights and accommodation for a small number of elite international competitors, particularly for the open categories.
