I'm a 46 year old triathlete nursing a herniated disc for the last year or so and I was looking for another way to cross train through the winter months, as the stationary bike and treadmill get a bit tiresome. My friend told me about the Concept2 online community so I signed up. I've been very happy with the ability to just get on and bang out a half hour row before dinner on days that I wouldn't have done anything because I didn't have an hour to dedicate to exercise. It's fun to pass other people on the standings page and try to catch my friend who started way ahead of me. It keeps me motivated to push it and tack on a few extra meters when I can. I've subsequently gotten another friend to sign up!
